Each beginning entails the unexpected, therefore the possibility of a miracle. Both miracles and the unexpected constitute the essential ingredient of each story. Life too. Hence, folktales on the 26th are seeking to encounter whatever stands out as unusual, the unknown or simply something merely paradoxical: a soup of stones, an undecided spirit, two fighting wolves, an explanation of how love and death came to earth. But also, the skeleton woman, three golden hair, something small that is enough and of course the 7th father of the house!
