A story-telling evening with the use of music and words. About the Spring that keeps reminding us the relationship of life and death as something integral and interconnected.
A narrative can take place through speech, but also listening. These are the two sides of the same coin: there can be no story-telling without listening (at least on some internal level) and there can be no listening if there is no story worthy of sharing.
Our collaborative story-telling evenings – with the use of notes and words – start with a specific intention (what we wish to share), but in the end they do take place through a series of indirect accounts arising from the presence and interactions of all manifestations of life – the rustling of clothes, the breaths of people, the creaking of the floor or a chair, the passing cats in the yard or the footsteps of passers on the street. Everything and everyone co-narrate a whole which is so much bigger than our initial intentions.
This particular story-telling evening took place in the Performing Arts School “Lamba” with Stella Grigovich in singing – accompanied by some of her polyphonic choir students – Alexandros Kokkalidis in violin and Giorgos Papadopoulos in percussion. Story-telling by Tina Lygdopoulou.
