Christodoulou Yiannis

I am a graduate of the Department of Sociology of the Panteion University of Athens.

I have worked as a coordinator at the Konitsa Child Care Centre, as a team leader for the non-governmental organization Tdh and as a coordinator of the accommodation facility for unaccompanied asylum seeking minors ‘Agios Athanasios’ in the village of Asprangeli in Zagori.

At the same time, I organise and offer outdoor activities, such as trekking or rafting, as the owner of a small local company, Papigo Adrenaline.

I am a certified whitewater rafting guide (International Rafting Federation/ Metavasi), a whitewater level 3 rescuer (Metavasi), a canyoning guide (ICAN/ Metavasi), a trainer for the winter mountain school and the alpine ski schools of the Hellenic Mountaineering Federation, a certified first aid responder. I have also attended a 9-month programme on outdoor activities animation at the University of Thessaly.

The combination of social sciences and outdoor activities has always been my dream, especially as I see this as a way of supporting actively the community that has supported me.
