There are so many ways to learn from a river! To be able to “read” its flow, to cross it safely, to observe the different forms of life within and around the water, to get to know yourself and others through the river presence and metaphor.
If you live in this area, you may have already been near Nestos. Have you introduced yourself to the river? Are you two acquainted? What kind of lesson would you need from the river?
Creative, experiential activities by the river Nestos:
- If you are between 11-17 years old
- if you love nature
- if you like water and especially rivers!
Come and join us at Paranesti Dramas (Forestis) on Saturday 31/05, 12:00-17:00.
Experiential activities by the river aim to support a deeper understanding of the water element, the self and the group: through sharing and self-reflection, observation, art, wandering and the gradual acquaintance with Nestos – depending on the group and its interests, we will decide together how deep we can delve into the notion of flow (and the river itself).
Coordinators: Tina Lygdopoulou (theapist) and Giorgos Vergis (river guide).
Reservation is required! For reservations and further information (costs and gear included), please contact us at info@kipos.org.gr or 6975914941.
Note: river activities do not necessarily mean entering the river as such. Whether we do or not depends on the members of each group – not only what they ask for, but also what is safe. It’s a gradual process of familiarisation where we take each step, depending on how we related to each other and weather conditions at the time. Because as with any natural element, rivers too require our respect.
